# Edit Sidebar name

Customize your workspace sidebar by renaming sections and items to better match your agency’s language. Rename options reflect instantly across the platform—from task views to client emails—while preserving consistency and control.

### What You Can Do

* Rename sidebar section titles and individual items (up to 20 characters)
* View both singular and plural name formats during editing
* Apply renamed terms across:
  * Sidebar navigation
  * Notification panels
  * Template labels
  * Client emails (display only—not template variables)

### Why It Matters

* Use your agency’s preferred terminology
* Reduce confusion for internal teams and clients
* Maintain consistent labels across the entire platform

### Who Can Use This

To rename sidebar items, users must:

* Have a SuperAdmin or Admin role
* Have access to Workspace Config

### Getting Started

1. **Go to Sidebar Settings**

* Navigate to Workspace Config → Sidebar & Access<br>

2. **Edit Section or Item Name**

* Click the icon beside any editable section or item
* Enter a new name (maximum 20 characters)
* Both singular and plural forms are shown for clarity
* Click Save to apply<br>

#### Platform-Wide Behavior

* Renamed items update everywhere immediately:
  * Sidebar navigation
  * Notifications and alerts
  * Task templates and project orders
  * Email display text

#### Exceptions

* The following items cannot be renamed:
  * Help & Support
  * Workspace Configuration
  * Settings

### Additional Notes

* Limit of 20 characters per renamed item
* Non-editable sections will have the edit icon disabled
* Changes are global to the workspace and affect all users
