Important Notes
Supported Currencies: Ensure the currency you intend to use is supported by PayPal (see the list above).
Decimal Limitation: Some currencies do not support decimals. If you attempt to process a transaction with a decimal amount, it may result in an error.
Regional Restrictions (Brazilian Real - BRL):
BRL is supported as a payment currency and a currency balance for in-country PayPal accounts only.
Suppose the recipient of funds is not from Brazil. In that case, PayPal converts funds into the primary holding currency of the account at the applicable currency conversion rate, which includes PayPal's spread or fee.
Currency Balance Limitation (Certain Currencies):
Certain currencies are supported as payment currencies and currency balances only for in-country PayPal accounts.
Ensure that your PayPal account's primary holding currency aligns with your transaction requirements to avoid conversion fees.
Currency Conversion and Fees: Be aware of PayPal’s currency conversion fees and applicable spreads, which may apply if your client pays in a currency different from your PayPal account’s primary currency.
Testing Transactions: Before using PayPal for live transactions, conduct test transactions to ensure proper functionality and currency compatibility.
